Our research group studies how tumors cells deplete their local microenvironment of nutrients, effectively starving tumor-infiltrating T cells and preventing their function.
Importantly, our lab also asks how this process can be reversed to initiate an immune response or improve immunotherapeutic treatment of cancer.
